William Gilkeson “Bill” Griner 1923 - 2010

William Gilkeson “Bill” Griner was born January 26, 1923 near Harrisonville, Missouri the son of William Christopher and Nannie Winona (Gilkeson) Griner. He departed this life on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his home in Belton surrounded by his family at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 22 days.

Services were held Thursday, July 22, 2010 – 11:00 at the Belton Christian Church, Belton, Missouri. Dr. Jim Bottrell officiated. Music was “Amazing Grace” and “How Great Thou Art” with James Person, soloist, and Virginia Goucher, organist. Graveside services were held on Thursday, July 22, 2:00 p.m. at the Crescent Hill Cemetery near Adrian, Missouri. Military service & interment was by the Harrisonville Honor Guard, Crescent Hill Cemetery, near Adrian, Missouri. Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Belton Christian Church Memorial Fund, the Ex-POW’s or the Disabled American Veterans.
