Lynn Preston (L. P.) Jenkins, 87, Chilhowee, Missouri, died early Wednesday morning, May 13, 2009, at the Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg, MO. He was born April 3, 1922 in Eminence, MO, the son of Vibert Azariah Jenkins and Ollie Maetree (Potts) Jenkins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the Chilhowee United Methodist Church, Chilhowee, MO, with Mr. Joshua Preston, grandson of Mr. Jenkins, and Reverend Susan Smith officiating. Burial was in the Chilhowee Cemetery, Chilhowee, MO. Services were under the direction of the Bradley and Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family suggests memorial gifts to the Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg, MO, Crossroads Hospice, or the Chilhowee United Methodist Church.
