Services for Marshall Lee King, 92, of Tyler, Texas were held in Tyler, Texas. Mr. King was born December 15, 1917 in Union Star, MO to the late George J. and Laura Kyler King. He passed into Heaven on August 29, 2010.

Alvina Marlene Cole, age 70 of rural Amoret, Missouri died in a tragic home fire on Saturday, August 21, 2010. She was born May 9, 1940 to Walter Kelly and Thelma Elizabeth Mitts Ewbank in Amoret.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 25 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Ron Dunlap officiating. Burial was in the Benjamin Cemetery, Amoret, Missouri. Contributions in lieu of flowers suggested to the Amoret Christian Church or the Amoret Community Center.

Edward Eugene “Wilson” Newport, 62 of Adrian, MO passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 surrounded by his family and close friends. Edward was born November 29, 1947 in Nevada, MO, the son of Charles Wilson, Nadine Harris and Chester Newport.

Maxine Ross, age 79 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, August 20, 2010 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. She was born February 8, 1931 to Carl Lee and Evelyn Cleo Anglen Swann in Wyandotte County, Kansas.

Maxine’s wishes were to be cremated and remembered with fond memories. Private inurnment at a later date in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas.

Robert W. “Bob” Letzig, 88, of Richmond, MO, died on Thursday, August 19, 2010, at the North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO. Bob was born on January 9, 1922 in Hardin, MO to Robert H. and Violet (Mayes) Letzig.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2010 at the United Methodist Church, Richmond, MO, military services will be provided by the Ray County Veterans. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Richmond Memory Gardens, Richmond, MO.
