Call to Action: Protect your family, install carbon monoxide detectors


Last Monday, December 29, Kathie Willerton and her daughter Amy Guillen (Adrian Class of 1994) left Adrian for an appointment, lunch and shopping.  What they didn’t expect that day was to return to Kathie’s house only to find three family members near death.  When they opened the door to the house, their eyes burned instantly.  Jack, Derald and Lucas were lethargic, disoriented and unable to move.  They called the Adrian Fire Department and immediately began getting them out of the house. 

KMT Services donates to Adrian Rural Fire


KMT Services, a Lewis Hybrids dealer, was named as the 2014 Dealer of the Year. President Scott Lewis gave $1,000 to KMT Services to be donated to a local organization of their choice. They donated that money to the Adrian Rural Fire Department as they cover a big part of KMT’s rural customers. KMT thought it would benefit all.

Lady Blackhawks defeat Lone Jack and Clinton


The Adrian Lady Blackhawks closed out the 2014 portion of their season Friday, December 19 as they traveled to Lone Jack. Adrian defeated the Lady Mules 61 to 51. Coach Basore commented, “We were able to put extended pressure on them which allowed us to be able to run!”

Blackhawks fall to Lone Jack and Clinton


The Adrian Blackhawks were on the road Friday, December 19 to Lone Jack as they closed out the 2014 portion of the season. Adrian fell to the Mules 54-58. Coach Basore commented, “We played well but struggled to make shots late in the game.”

Saturday, January 3rd Adrian played their first game of the new year on the campus of Central Missouri University against the Clinton Cardinals. The Blackhawks were defeated 52-60. “We worked really hard to get back into the game, but we couldn’t convert on free throws down the stretch,” stated Coach Basore.
