School addition should be completed this spring

Work is progressing well for the new addition to the Adrian R-3 School. Pictured above is a view of the commons area, looking north to the cafeteria kitchen area. During school time, tables will fill the commons area. There is a storage room for tables when they are not in use.
The new addition stretches east of the older part of the school and will accommodate offices and classrooms. The new hallway extends to the east, then goes north, then west and back to the commons area. About a dozen classrooms, along with rest rooms and storage areas, line both sides of the wide hallway. There will be many skylights to let in natural light in the hall. The new Family and Consumer Sciences suite will have a kitchen area as well as a classroom area.
