Candidate filing ends

The filing for candidates for city councils, school, hospital and water boards ended at 5 p.m. this past Tuesday, January 22, 2008. An official list will be available next week, but as of press time this week, the offices and candidates who have filed to date are as follows:
- Adrian School Board- Vanessa Tallman, Steve Lewis, Tom Underwood, and Tammy Fisher.
- Archie School Board - Andy Copeland, Shelia Thomas, Tim McGinnis, Ryan Grimes, Tim Shacker, April Wisker, Dennis Romi and Charlie Plattner.
- Ballard School Board - Michael Kreitler, Trina Oerke, Dan Copeland, Robert Wayne Kagarice, Gene A. Morris and Keith Teagarden.
- Cass-Midway School Board - Brent Yahnig, Dan Cromer, Chris Goddard, Kevin Fischer, Debbie Smith.
- Drexel School Board - Kevin Medcalf, Brenda Hadley and Ronald Jacobs.
- Miami School Board - Alan Neider, Mary Limpus, Ed Gutshall.
- Adrian City Council - North Ward- Larry Ritter, Hank Stark; South Ward- Bill Greenwood, Dennis Kooker; Mayor- Cindy Kendrick, Ray Cusumano.
- Archie City Council - East Ward - Mark Houchen; West Ward - Jeff Paul; Mayor - Robert Mitchell.
- Drexel City Council - East Ward - no one has filed; West Ward - Don Emery.
- Public Water Supply District #5 - Melvin Fairman and John McCulley.
- Bates County Hospital Board - David Hopkins, Bart McClaughry and Jerry Jones.
