The Adrian Lady Blackhawks opened Class 2 District play on Monday night, March 1 against the Appleton City Lady Bulldogs. Although the Lady Blackhawks shot a dismal 29% they were able to pull off the 66 to 33 victory. Coach Dingman said, “It was a slow start but we got things going in the second quarter.”

   The children of Buddy and Darlene Fowler invite you to celebrate their parents 60th wedding anniversary with a card shower at Rt. 2 Box 504 Adrian, MO 64720. They were united in marriage on March 4, 1950. 

On Sunday, February 28, 115 people added to the bone marrow registry at the MOKAN Restaurant in Passaic. With a quick Q-tip swab of the cheeks, individuals gave a gift to someone in need of bone marrow. Pictured is Emily Swaters (right), who is getting her cheek swabbed by Amber Fennewald.

The final list of candidates for the April 6, 2010 election was completed Tuesday January 19, 2010 at the end of business hours. Several more people have signed up for various offices, including the two open seats on the Bates County Hospital Board. The candidates and offices for which they have filed are as follows:
