Boxed shipment found to be marijuana worth $3.3 million

marijuana bustThe Missouri Highway Patrol headquarters has in its possession over 2200 pounds of suspected marijuana that was found in a truck stopped in Bates County at approximately 11:12 p.m. Thursday evening. Four individuals have been arrested. The substance has been estimated to amount to a street value of $3.3 million.

Marijuana patch found

Friday, July 7, Officer Thacker was contacted by Bates County Deputy Mark Frost in regard to a possible marijuana patch outside the city limits of Adrian. Bates County Sheriff Dough Mullenix, Deputy Frost and Officer Thacker confiscated an estimated street value of $7000 worth of marijuana.

The purpose of the hearing was to present and discuss any questions and concerns of the redesign of the two blocks of Route 18 in the city's business district between Kentucky and Lexington.
