Vintage 49 is one of Butler’s newest businesses. Thomi Herrell, Owner, carries one-of-a-kind vintage furnishings including antiques and paint and repurposed furniture. She custom paints just about anything a customer requests.

Thomi has participated in craft shows and has had booths at various antique shops. Her dream has been to one day own her own business. “Opening my own shop is something I always wanted to do so I took a leap of faith and went for it,” Thomi said. Before opening Vintage 49, Thomi was a teacher for 15 years. She has three kids in college and the time was right for her to make a career change.

Thomi welcomes everyone to stop in and say hi. Winter hours are Wednesday - Friday from 10am - 6pm and Saturday 10am - 3pm. On Mondays and Tuesdays are set aside for Thomi’s custom work. “Come in and visit the shop, there is something for everyone,” Thomi said. Vintage 49 is conveniently located just off I-49 on 52 Highway next to Sonic (and across from the old Walmart). The business, located in a white house, is at 1008 W. Ft. Scott. You can call Vintage 49 at 660-679-1236 or send an email to thomi.herrell@yahoo.com. Vintage 49 is on Facebook and on the web, www.vintage49.com.
