Optimists recognize Students of the Month

The Adrian R-3, Ballard R-2 and Miami R-1 School Districts have been working in conjunction with the Adrian Optimist Club to honor a Student of the Month from each school. Students are selected by staff members on the following criteria: character, attendance, attitude toward others and school, behavior, leadership, and improvement in, or good grades.

Students of the Month receive a certificate of recognition and $20.00 in Adrian Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Bucks.”

ADRIAN: Adrian R-III senior Michael Schlotman has been selected at the Adrian Optimist Student of the Month. In the fall, Michael plans to attend the University of Central Missouri in order to obtain a degree in Commercial Arts and Illustration and a minor in Business Administration.
